Cable Sleeving

I'm after some sort of cable sleeving, elasticated nylon would be the best, simply stretch it over and snip holes where the molexs are but no one in the world seems to agree, hence me not being able to find any.

Im using the Vantec kit at the moment, but i found it to be pointlessley akward to do neatly in some respects so i wanna see if i can find a nicer subsitute.

Anyone use any kind of Sprial Rap?

I prefer spiral wrap if you won't want to spend the time actually re-sleeving. Spiral wrap gives it a cool look!

Yeah im gunna get spiral rap i've just decided.

Comes in 6mm and 9mm diameter..dunno what sizes would be best. Also i'll size up how much I actualy need too when i can be bothered.

Personaly i'd like to do it all out in heatshrink but it'll cost too much i reckon.

do you think that would fit over molexes and do you just have to use a hairdryer to heat it? it would really make my case look sweet.

That heatshrink...2.5mm..thats like quater of a centre meter, right? :| I thought it meant 2.5cm lol

Yeah i was looking at that but wanted a user opinion. Is their enough to do a PSU out completely then? And what about the real tiny wires (fan connectors and what not), does it fit snugley to that?

Get some pics of you using it and show us the tightness/stretchability if possible...lol

Well I've run out of it now and sold that PSU, but I have other pics:

If you look bottom right those wires are single fan wires....look good cause you just wrap it tighter.

It seems to fit good on all wires and is plenty enough for all the wires with lots left over for spares. The cable ties and fixers are also very very helpful.....I would say get it - and you could get some heatshrink with it!

Its a shame really, i spent a day sleeving my PSU with the vantec kit and im gunna replace it already..haha, well thats life I guess.

I have a DFI LanParty so that will glow yellowish under UV..Yellow and Blue, eh? lol, i spose that could work: see!

I'll get those 12inch UV's from Kustom PC's too i reck!

Don't get the 12" ones, get the AC Ryan dual 4" UV ones. When I wanted them they were out of stock so I got 1 x 12" one. Wish I'd have waited as the smaller cathode means that you can use both 4" ones to highlight different areas of your case.

And I got a LAN party UT and it goes well together!!

I was just in the shower, thinking of you (see what you do to me?!) and i was wondering, how do you go about getting that kit on the cables? do you need to remove the molexes and slide it on, or wrap it round..or wrap it over..or what?

Well I'm flattered darling!!

As far as cabling goes:

You wind it round the wires and it requires no taking off of molexes at all. It was really easy to fit and I sealed each one with a cable tie to make it secure. I think it took me 1/2 hour - max 45mins! Easy as!!

As far as dinner tomorrow......?? (don't worry - I'm only joking - baby!)
