Cable Sleeving

I'm really interested in attempting to sleeve my own cables and have read much about MDPC-X here... and things look good. But they are rather expensive and will it cost more to ship to Canada?

I have googled sleeving kits in Canada and they all look cheap and incomplete.

Does anyone know where I can buy a high quality sleeving kit in Canada?

Also, how much cable would I need to do an entire rig? If there is already a sleeving guide (with working pictures) on this forum could someone link me to it?

Thank you in advance!

I think it's just fiddly, but it's basically the same as sleeving. You have to remove the inside threads (it's like white string inside) and push the cable through the centre (as you would normally)

But you can use the same heat shrink

Just checked eBay and found some great deals! Thanks!

100ft for $9.50?

How much would I need to do an entire rig? All cables.

depends on your psu but i reckon 100ft would be enough for 24 pin 8pin quad 6 pins and some fans atleast... buy some electrical tape as well to put over the connectors

Pretty much.

Heat shrink (4.5mm with 1:3 ratio is good), electrical tape, pin removal tool and electrical tape

Crimping is a little different to sleeving. Yes you can do all of it with just para cord and heat shrink - that is what sleeving is.

I think you can use a crimping tool if you want to remove molex cables to braid them all. Have a look around online for tuts.
