Bye bye christmas plans...

my thinking exactly, the last television i bought , also came "used". It was collecting an awful amount of dust, and none of the settings where default, so god knows...

Ive given up on being upset, just getting a refund on this one now and go look round some shops...plenty of good buys on now...

but thanks for the info and chit chat guys..will update with what happens next..

ps...they were meant to pick it up today, arranged it over the phone. Got a phone call of my father this morning, "tim, theres a UPS driver here wanting to pick up a package"....* face palm...."Dad, please tell him to drive 110 miles to my house..."...ending result, ebuyer sent the delivery driver to my billing address, not the same address they said on the phone.... hmmm...

Note to self...be brave, youll get a television soon...

Indeed. I doubt ebuyer even open these things to check, there's way too many sales going on.

All retailers, like eBuyer, will buy their products in from the supplier under the assumption they know how to put the things together properly, just as customers expect from the retailer. Being a shop manager myself, albeit in a very different market, I'm sure the person who deals with this at eBuyer will be just as pissed off at the service and inconvenience caused by their suppliers incompetence as you are with receiving a faulty product. If they aren't then they shouldn't be in charge of dealing with customer returns!
