buying a new mouse

before i start, this was the best sub forum i could find for relevance.

lately, my poo poo cheap logitech mouse has been giving me a hard time- the scrollwheel doesnt receive propperly, can take anywhere between 1 and 5 notches before it receives a scroll, and now the laser has been givng me grief. for one, i was just in a game of blacklight retribution 8 kills to 0 deaths, and my mouse stopped moving altogether. if its not doing this to me, it would otherwise start making me spin incredibly fast, until i either restart the computer, unplug/replug the mouse, or bang the mouse on the desk. restart being the only reliable solution that always works.

I'm looking to spend around $50-$80 on a mouse, and im not a fan of funky lookin mouses. steelseries looks to have some nice mice, the rival looks alright but im a bit iffy on the wonky shape of it, and then theres the sensei that has two buttons each side and a normal shape.
the first mouse i was thinking to get was a razer deathadder, ive used my friends one momentarily and it was quite nice, however if the sensei is any good i may want to get it for the 4 buttons. not to say i want heaps of buttons, i wouldnt be able to keep track of 20 buttons, two large buttons on each side would be great however.

So, is the sensei any good? i read some smack talk about it online but my friend reckons steelseries makes good mice. how about the rival? or should i just go deathadder? open to other suggestions, and im planning on buying through http://www.pccasegear.com, australian prices.

Thanks in advance

edit- if the sensei isnt very good, i'm prepared to fork out for the sensei professional if its worth the extra $$

Corsair Raptor M45 for $59 Roccat Kone Pure Gaming $79 or the Sensei as you have picked all are good mice for the money

Razer breaks all the time.
Get either a Steelseries Sensei Raw or a Steelseries Rival, those are my favorites. The Roccat mice and Corsair mice are supposed to be good as well, however i haven't tested those personally.
Once again a case of 'Why isn't there a peripheral sub forum?', i don't know why we still don't have one, threads about peripherals pop up all the time in sections which aren't made for them.

I happened to be in a similar situation a short while back and after some advice (from this forum) went for the Roccat Kone Pure (black). For a palm grip user I'd imagine it to be epic. To the touch the mouse is simply amazing and definitely something to consider but for any grip bar palm grip the side buttons are too high sadly. As for Razor products, I had the Razor Copperhead mouse for years and only got rid of it as it was getting long in the tooth (Still worked!).

I have the roccat kova+ and it is really good and not to expensive as well, i have it a while now and i remember spending €50 maby i am not sure on it. It wasn't any higher than that any way, but yea a really good mouse.

The DeathAdder is my all time favorite mouse. Perfect shape for my hand. I have a 3.5G and a 2013 model. The new 2013 has a textured grip and a better sensor than the previous 3.5G model. I actually prefer the smooth grip of the 3.5G but the 2013 is a superb mouse.

The Sensei Raw which I also own is very similar to the DeathAdder but its a little shorter. Sometimes I think its a little too short. Plus its got buttons on the right side of it and that kinda bugs me. You can disable them in the software but they still get on my nerves.

If you liked the shape of the DeathAdder, I can highly recommend you buy one.

i ordered it on monday, arrived at my post office on thursday and then good friday happened. post office not open until monday, spending entire easter weekend with a broken mouse, and turned out somone who planned on visiting was unable to. its been very boring so far. so much for express postage

I've got a Logitech MX518 and it is one of the best mice I have ever used. Yeah there are no weights, branded cables or a fancy chassis, but it is a faultless piece of kit for a cheap price. For me at least, it fits really well in your hand as the thumb and little finger rest does a great job without having a huge plate like the R.A.T mice.
The two programmable thumb buttons are placed really well too, just the right size for easy accutation without being too big to be accidently pressed.
For your price bracket, you can obviously go for something much more extravagant, but personally I would rather save money.
