Agreed, and I always purchase my software legally also :wavey:, might have a dig around this. Just I don't know if I would use it all the time. But then again 3-4 downloads and I have my money back :D.

:D:D:D

Server 2008 Enterprise with 25 CALS retails at £2,944.91 alone, so one download could save you a hell of alot of money!!

I wouldn't worry too much about capping, The downloads that I've still got running on one of the OC3D servers hooked up to IDNet's backbone are only coming down at 40kb/s now :( Normal downloads form MS are at around 30mb/s

Niceeee!!!!

I guess Microsoft servers are sharing the bandwidth quite erm, fairly?:bs:

Then you'll prolly get knackered for Windows Updates. But providing you never update and you never intend on reinstalling you have technically got the product for 'free'.
Or microsoft releases an update which makes it revert to the evaluation key, causing lockups after 30 to 90 days ;)

Not going to lie about my location, will have to do without :(

EDIT: love the topic title btw :D

lol the links are now dead, looks like ima have to buy it for 12 months so i can get 7 on all 6 of my machines/laptops without it costing OTT

Imagining the call:

"Hello Microsoft...

.....

.....

"never mind how I got the subscription, your dl servers are a POS! Give me more bandwidth or I may just not renew my subscription!!"

:D:D

Hands up if you put your real email address on the forms btw? I'm just wondering how long it will be before MS gets their lawyers to send out intimidating emails to all that signed up.

*raises hand*

"If you dont let me download EVERYTHING on your site at 30mb/s I'll never ever use your software again! hmph!"

Sorry cba to read the thread but what was this? It doesnt load anymore for me :(
