Thanks For the Key j.Woody +Reps

no probs, and i think Microsoft have realised what a big mistake it was, giving that stuff away...

i cant get onto the website anymore, it doesnt stop loading...

keeps saying connecting and the symbal goes round and round and round

The keys are still working. Even when it brings up an error it seems to remember. I tried loads of times for Office 2007 Ultimate but it wouldn't give it to me. I refreshed the page 10 mins later and now I've got 10 keys.

Same as Vista 64 Ultimate and XP Pro X64 + X84

Plenty of others too.

Windows 7 keys wont be for retail though will they? They are just the RC Build keys which were being given away for free to everyone no?

The reason some of you are having problems is due to the servers are struggling under the sudden influx of requests at the moment(every man and his dog have found out about this within the last few hours). Its just the same as when they first released the keys for 7 and the RC,just be patient and keep trying....

Bungrals right about the R7 builds, they are not retail.

Correct, the 7 builds are still the RC client,BUT 7 will be released within the next few months,so if you get your years subscription now all you have to do is wait until its released and ....profit???

Oh yeah what version of Server? 2008 or 2008 R2?

2008 R2 is still in Beta/RC IIRC - in fact i think R2 may even be the Windows 7 Server version.

I've downloaded "2008 SP2 without HyperV" - makes for a very trimmed down Vista/7 alternative.

Probs both, retail versions of things can easily be aquired though. Its the letters and numbers jumble that we cant get normaly

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but the **** up that MS have created will probably end up having the plug pulled soon. The free subscription was aimed at IT pros who completed some surveys, for which they got a free 12 months Technet subscription. The proof of this is in the '1900' subscription expiry date. I wouldn't be surprised if the keys that have been given out end up being revoked, and the subscriptions that were created using the flaw being revoked too. It wouldn't be too hard to revoke the keys which have been generated.

As I am a paying member of Technet, I didn't bother trying the links. I was speaking to a mate at MS though this afternoon, and the fur has been flying today at MSHQ:D

Let's just do some hacking/modifying then. I suppose you could use it on PC without interwebz :D.
