Bought crysis 1 the other day

Whats cracking my brethren and brethrettes. Bought crysis the other day my systems only rockin a e8400@3.16ghz 4gig o valueram and a 4870 so i get in to the settings and click optimal. I go into the advanced tab and see everything cranked to high and im like

Bull crap

So i turned it all down to med apart from the first two. No aa. So im ingame an im like oh my gawsh this is magical then as it was running silky i turned on the aa a little. And i swear i heard heavenly choruses in the background. Its an old game that looks better than a lot of new games. Its also awesome. I cant wait to get my rig up and running so i can marvel a little more (it was the computer in work i played it on)

Yeah it is a breathtaking game, the graphics are still better then almost any game that comes out today. I still load it up sometimes, 1920-1080 with every setting maxed (including AA) and its just mind blowing.

still a FPS though like so many others and, well i'm bored to tears with this genre actually.

Fair enough though, Crysis may well be top of the pile, it's a genre that game devs rely on far, far too much though and when I hear about an interesting game and discover it's a FPS...I just want to go and have a lie down.

I recommend dawn of war 2 if u havent. And ofcourse the greatest game ever

Crysis is a beautiful game. I have a 1920 x 1200 monitor arriving soon so I can view it in all its glory. I currently play at a resolution of 1440 x 900 and it still looks kick ass.

dude you'll be amazed at how much better it plays at 1920 x 1200 as long as ya have a gpu that handles it well it really improved my sniping ability
