Hi guys. I just put together my pc well it's not finished but it should work ant least for now as a media PC.

My spec

Msi z77 g45
Celeron g830
8gb samsung green
SATA HDD drive and dvd
Ax 850

Well after i put it all together it is powering down by itself after around 8 seconds switches back on and it's keeps doing that...

Tried to unplug unnecessary equipment, clear bios etc nothing helps. Any ideas what can cause that?

Pull your psu cables out of your motherboard and then put them back in. It can be a loose connection and can usually be fixed by doing that. :p

MSI strikes again with their boot looping fail...

MSI motherboards are notorious for getting stuck in boot loops, happened to me and after Googling for solutions it seems it's hapend to a lot of other people as well.

It may be what Dale said though, so try that first. Also, try booting with one stick of RAM and try each RAM slot, one at a time.

If none of that works, it looks like you will have to RMA it.

Thanks for the answers. I already tried to reconnect psu and ram but still the same. When i come home from work I'll check again but doubt something is going to change. =(

I checked it all again and I found out that when I pull out that extra 8pin power cable (just next to the cpu socket) pc is switching on for around a second then off again... But still no progress.

the MSI board of a friend had that when i pushed the i5 3570k beyond 4.2GHz. it wouldn't even let me in the bios, it was awful. cleared cmos like 30 times that day.

Well to honest it's nothing unusual - just my luck. But now I know I should have gone for mpower. Well i will RMA it tomorrow probably.

Btw I bought sidewinder x4 keyboard and it's also dead. Only 2 bottom lines of keys are working.
