In October of this year, our next door neighboor's son was killed in a car accident. My son and he were very close. He had a PC and had this love of Blue LED and eventually wanted to trick out his system with all Blue LEDs and such. He never did get around to it, only adding in a couple of Blue Cold Cathod tubes...
I spoke with the mom about this and she agreed to let my son have the system. Made some upgrades, raided my fan stash and voila. This glowing blue air tunnel in my son's room.
The case is a Cooler Master HAF X. We pulled off the top and side 200mm fans. On the top, I installed a Antec TP-750 PSU, with the Blue LED fan. Installed it in the top so the fan can be seen. Installed an additional 120mm Blue LED fan. On the side, we have 4 x 120mm Blue LED fans. In the bottom, yep, 2 x 120mm Blue LED fans. In the rear we have a 120mm Blue LED fan. In the front, I installed a CM 4x3 cage I had that also has a 120mm Blue LED fan in front of it in the 5.25" bays. Finally, my son decided to leave the front 200mm Red LED fan, for some contrast. HUH? OK, whatever son. ^_^ Oh, and don't forget the cathod tubes to...
