Blue and white LED strips for case lighting.

Hi,

I want to get and LED strip for my PC that can change between Blue and White mainly, I saw the Phobya strip on Scan but then I saw the IR controller... Do i have to get both to actually use the strip?

Thanks

It does say in the description you need it?

Why do you want white or blue may I ask?

You would have to get both to use the strip yes - but you could get bitfenix alchemy ones which dont require a receiver to work

Phobya ones are RGB and can change colours......

Anything that changes will need a receiver and a remote. And yes mate you will need both

Yes, but the Phobya ones are £30, plus £15 for the receiver.
You could get 2 bitfenix strips (white and blue) for £16 each and connect them to some kind of hold button or switch which would work out cheaper with the same effect - just without the wireless functionality.

I have my white bitfenix led strip like this, wired up to the led on/off button on my CM 690.
Just dont feel a massive need for a wireless remote to control case lights :p

I want blue, because it fits the theme of my case.... buuuuut, white looks real nice. The case has blue accents, the board has blue bits, card has blue streak but I'm worried that blue LED's will drown out the blue and make it look black.

I think I might go for the 1x blue 1x white Bitfenix Alchemy strip, bit like Heaven and Hell but not nearly as awesome =p

I think that would just be the same story just the opposite way around.

The LED strips would work better with non-LED fans IMO. If you got a set of the Corsair AP/SP fans then the white LED strip would bring out the colour of the ring, but wouldnt drown out the black, opaque fan. The LED fans tend to have clear blades which would just take the colour of the fans.

If you do insist on LED fans and strips - maybe go for the same colours.

Not had money to get the blue led strips =(

Managed to get a couple of bitfenix spectre's for 3.33 each at specialtech, I tried to take some pics but they just came out rubbish... Besides they aren't bright enough to light the case up properly.
