I have heard of times when people have put the cars in the ignition and put the air conditioning on to cool the car down before a long journey. They then shut the doors (as you do with air con) and leave it be for 10 minutes. They have come back and found the doors on their car to have auto locked and now they are stuck on the outside with the keys in the ignition and the car alive. They then call the recovery people .... wait around an hour for him / her to turn up and then watch them take all of 10 seconds to get into your car :banghead:

its sort of possible.

some cars has a little transmitter to lock/unlock the doors.

if the lockbutton is pushed twice the doors are locked in a way you cannot get out of the car unless someone unlocks the doors or break a window.

unlocking from the inside doesnt work without the transmitter.
