BIOSTAR Preparing To Launch New “Hi-Fi Mainboard”

Hi-FiZ97Z7_v055andbox_zps373aafe1.jpg

BIOSTAR is getting ready for the launch of a new Hi-Fi series motherboard, with a brand new outlook design, cutting-edge features and innovative durability enhancements. The board, based on the Intel Z97 chipset will come with key features and BIOSTAR’s exclusive Hi-Fi Audio technology.

BIOSTAR’s in-house technology will be evident with featuressuch as Hi-Fi technology, Golden Plated Audio Connectors, 8 Phase Power Design and Super Conductive Heat sinks.

Looks pretty much the same as the recent release of those 9 series from Asus or ECS. Just curious how will it perform setting aside those "similarities".

Biostar boards have always had a main focus on audio for pretty great prices. If you're an overclocker or power user then they're probably not for you but they're pretty good boards.

Leave my beloved Biostar alone XD Haha, I don't have one but used to have them when I was younger! I like seeing them come back into the game a little more. I'd go for one I think.

Okay, that ones actually nor bad, but lets be honest, most of their boards look crap :P

I have to admit, that orange board from them looks awesome.
Other brands makes their board red nowadays. I guess they should've
took the advantage of retaining the blue one.

got a few older biostar boards laying around here some where.
they were decent enough boards, i swapped over to abit after a while because they were using all solid state caps.
personally id probably trust biostar more than msi when it comes to mother boards. never had a good msi board and i have had a few.
gigabyte hasnt been that great to me either but definitely better than msi. biostar were always reliable when i used them though..
now i try to use intel if possible.

yeah, sometimes it's not always the brand and how that certain thing is packaged.

thats true.
almost all my issues have been DOA boards.

I will say that my abit quad gt board is the only mother board that actually caught fire but that thing lasted like 7 years with crazy over clocks lol.
And it managed not to take Anything out with it when it went. which is something i like.
i kind of miss abit.
Glad biostar are still around.

wow man, the last time i actually used an abit motherboard was socket 478 days LOL

cutting edge... so it will handle 64gb of quad channel memory in 8 slots, double copper on the pcb, and will allow 4 graphics cards in sli. Sounds good. It must be a 2,011 pin socket that will house the new i7-5960X too, right?

I was very tempted by their Z77 orange range, at the time they were some of the sexiest looking boards. I just didn't trust the name, but by all accounts they have a pretty good reputation, I've never heard of any horror stories about them.
