Sub $500 build

I would like to share a build I am planning to get very soon
and you might wanna make it as a reference on your
upcoming purchase. Got these prices from newegg so
if you'll ask how much it would be on your country,
it would costs somewhere near these prices.

Cooler Master Elite 110 = $39
* One of the most cheapest ITX casing out there. Unlike Lian-Li's
and Silverstone's, you could fit a standard sized PSU in it.

Corsair CX 430 430W = $39
*430w of power is more than enough for this entire build

Biostar Hi-Fi B85N 3D = $69
*Cheap and has mosy of the features those famous brands currently has.
For this small platform, it has a good built-in audio.

Intel Pentium G3258 3.2 Ghz LGA 1150 = $69
*At $70 you get a special edition CPU from Intel. An unlocked
CPU that overclocks well with the Biostar Hi-Fi B85N 3D.

G.Skill Ripjaws X 4GB X 2 DDR3 1600mhz = $79
*G.sKill sports a cheap and a kickass design on their
rams. 8Gb with a 1600mhz speed is good enough to play current released games.

Zotac GTX 750Ti 1GB 128-Bit GDDR5 = $139
*Sports the new Maxwell architecture. A card so powerful to handle
games like Battlefield 4, Titanfall, COD Ghosts etc. that peaks at
insanely low 75 watts.

Western Digital WD Blue 1TB SATA = $59
1Tb is I think a pretty good enough capacity for this build.

Total = $493
(monitor excluded)

A budget gaming PC that can handle latest games @ full HD.
It has a small foot print that you could put it almost anywhere
on your table.

No OS in that price,
But still i suppose at least the PSU is a decent brand should be reliable, Ripjaws ram is fine 8gb should be adequate. Nice little CPU. Zotac seem an OK brand from what ive seen but with these new titles it may be worth getting the 2gb card, Vram is used more and more in "modern games" that this machine will play oh so well.

First thing though ive never heard of Biostar, so id not trust that Mobo sadly.

Also might wanna look at 760 prices diving atm... id rather try that or even squeeze budget for 770.

But thats my two cents

And if this is an advert ... full hd @ 1080p im assuming you mean like xbone and ps4? not even getting passed 800p in some games... or is that with all the settings turned down.

Thanks for the input. I forgot about it, now that new 900 series is out in the market, GTX 760s prices should go down.

Been using Biostar since AM2 days, The 3-year warranty first came into my mind.

A lot of people use biostar in the US and swear by them, I bought one and swore AT it. lol I like gigabytes for the way it's built (more copper on the PCB means less resistance and a cooler board than say an ASUS or similar brand) and the top rate caps.

biostar were a pretty big name back in the day.. havent used them since i swaped to abit (who then went bust) and now im on intel.. but they were solid boards and a mfr with a good rep. i would use biostar before i would use msi.. (although i must admit i am not a msi fan)
as for the psu.
i think you could possibly save a few $ going for a evga psu of similar spec.

What happened with their rep then barns?

Dunno, I think they cocked up a few times and stopped doing important things like quality control (I think it was around the core 2 days?) and now are considered a joke, atleast thats what I gathered when people have talked about them in the past.

Its that or they just didn't move forward. It was before I was into PCs so I've always been told they're a joke.

I used to see the odd one in pcs i was repairing when i worked in my secondary school, helped the IT guys get standalones ready. and they would just say throw them out as we will be replacing them soon anyways, i was getting paid so did not care lol.
Considering those comps were cack! i wondered why they said that.
And now i know lol

Ahem. What is it with you and Biostar?

There is a reason why they're not liked anymore...

Nothing really, been purchasing a couple of biostars recently, for personal use or for those who asks me to build for them. Currently have the A68N and an H81, planning to get a B85N soon.
