Hi there. Im having an issue I don't know how to solve. I get b8 EA error on the debug LCD, but have not found out what it is. First it shows b8 then later EA.

Last thing I did was that I switched RAM sticks so the left was on the right and vice versa. It might have something to do with my graphics card since I did put normal thermal-paste on the VRAM etc. when I opened it up. Everything worked fine both after the graphics card thing and RAM switch, but suddenly when I was watching a YT video it froze and since then nothing works.

Another thing is that after I did that to my graphics card I pressed CMOS, ever since then I have not been able to have to same over clock as Ive had for years which is 4Ghz at 1.275V.

Can anyone help me out? Need more details, just ask for them. I was supposed to sell my PC so I could upgrade, but this does not seem good... Maybe Ill end up with nothing... I need help!

Specs:
i5-750
4GB Mushkin Redline
EVGA Classified 200
XFX 6970

Guys I feel incredibly stupid, one of the RAM sticks somehow popped out, Im certain I put it in properly, maybe not... Either way it does boot now. However the over clocking mystery is still weird

So is everything fixed?

No, not everything buddy. But the most important things are. It is up and running, but I am still wondering why I can't use my old over clocks. Do you know anything about that? It just will not come close to 4GHz, I got it to 3Ghz with AUTO, yes AUTO settings! If I tweak anything myself, it says NOOOOPE

How long has the OC been on there for? After a while the CPU silicon degrades and it requires more volts to get the same OC. Its just "getting old" in a human sense.

Explains why its starting to show its age. I wouldn't want to push it more and more as it will just die faster. Just find a spot where you are happy with in regards to OC'ing. Nothing else you can do really.

Maybe you have llc/vdroop enabled and before resetting bios you had it turned off or lower level
