Bios Flashing in Windows AMI Bios

Hi there,

Is there a way that I can do an AMI Bios update for my P5LD2 Deluxe in windows.

Reason is that I dont have floppy disk to hand and dont want to have any hassle with floppy disks and stuff.

On the Asus site there should be some software called Asus Update (or sommit like that). This will download the latest BIOS ver from the net and update it in windows for ya

I'd download the BIOS file then use Asus update to update your BIOS from file

Yep! Best way to do it. You can also do a web update with ASUS Update but I dunno what would happen if you get disconnected half way through.

Make sure you get the BIOS from the official ASUS site though (and make sure you don't download a Beta. It should go fine with ASUS Update, but wear an extra large nappy just in case, 'cos it's a butt clenching experience Back up the old BIOS first, but if you make a mistake you should be able to use ASUS Recovery on the mobo CD. (If you've got one.)

Oh and make notes of your BIOS settings before you start. (I didn't

) Because the new BIOS may reset some settings to defaults and it may complain on POST. (hence the large nappy)
