Big Red Resurrection [Switch 810, RIVE, 3930k, Crossfire 7950's, Corsair EVERYTHING!]

Sorry for asking but were you actually born in 98? How can you have all that money at 14? or was it a parents job?
I'm simply going to ignore that...

Some nice kit you got there, can't wait to see more :)
It will come soon... The build is done, so I could technically dump all of the pictures on you at once... But it's more suspenseful this way.

Have I said MOARRRRRRRRR yet?
I do believe you have ;)

Have I said MOARRRRRRRRR yet?

More? As in the box that Newegg dropped at my house?

And as soon as we crack open the box, there are components just waiting to be born!

A digging into the package a little more, we find a package within a package. This has to be important...

envelopecontents_zpse78e61c0.jpg

Eeh... Not too important. Liking the MX4 compound though.

oldsplitter_zpsfc3f8a00.jpg

...Newegg sent me the wrong power adapter... It's a $5 cable, but it totally derailed the project.

paste_zps04087802.jpg

The other thing in that package was the MASSIVE tube of Arctic Cooling MX-4.

Anyways, back to the package. I decided on 2 Sapphire 7950 OC 950MHz cards. I wanted to get more later on, but it seems they've been discontinued.

dualdominatorgtram_zpse9491772.jpg

The Dominator GT Ram!!! 32GBs of it!!! This is 8 dimms, 4gb each, and they run at 2133.

dualssd_zpse3c972b4.jpg

2 Corsair Neutron GTX 240gb SSD's, because Raid 0 is awesome!

IMG_0922_zps14aa994a.jpg

An Intel 3930k, because 12 threads at 3.2GHz is beast!
-------------------------
Now, lets take another look at that spiltter that Newegg sent...

oldsplitter_zpsfc3f8a00.jpg

This is what I got... Not at all what I ordered...

fryselectronics_zps28d957e9.jpg

Fry's Electronics to the rescueeeee!!!!!

newsplitter_zps708bf09e.jpg

And this is the adapter I actually ordered. I need this to connect the power to my SSD's, so you can see how it is quite important.

32GB Dominator GT :O Thats some expensive shit right there :L

Good choice on the graphics cards btw :) And the MX4 :)

Yeah, two sets of that was kinda expensive. But I was originally going to get 2 680's, and with the money I saved by getting the 7950's, I could easily buy the ram and still spend less.

And the industrial sized tube of thermal compound will come in handy when I watercool this build.

Picture timeeeee! And since both the CPU, and the SSD's don't have too much to see, I will put them together.

cpubox_zps58760b2a.jpg

3930k box. Quite a waste of space, considering it doesn't include a cooler.

cpupads_zps6609a743.jpg

So many pads! That correspond to all of those pins in the socket!!

ssdboxes_zps37804a88.jpg

Dat Storage!

ssd_zps0b4c031d.jpg

I'm loving the look of these SSD's.

thin_zpsf8ce6bcd.jpg

It's so thin!!!

dominatorgtbox_zps304d5bab.jpg

RAM!!!!

ram_zps6a01f457.jpg

Here's what a single stick looks like. They're pretty sexy!

ramspecs_zpse7d2dc74.jpg

The specs on the ram. It's pretty decent stuff (and it better be for how much it cost me).

somuchram_zps4f045ba4.jpg

Because one stick of ram is boring...

8ram_zpsb0be8f7a.jpg

All those heat spreaders!! Too bad I will be watercooling them later on. And yes, I do need to watercool my ram, because you have to overvolt it to 1.6v to be stable with 8 dimms, and it runs hot at that voltage.

...You sure it's the RAM that needs over volting and not the CPU memory controller?

RAM never needs watercooling unless you're seriously pushing the overclocks (which you aren't) and even then you'd have to be running 24/7 memtests for them to actually get too hot. 1.5 to 1.6v won't really do anything you'd need to worry about.

You'd be running the RAM at its rated specs - and not doing massive RAM intensive applications 24/7.

It will be fine.

Yeah its NOT the ram you just need to set the BIOS up right, 32GB of ram is not for beginners.......

Both of this^^

1.65v is the rated spec for those sticks so no overvolting required.
If you want speed then you should of bought the Samsung ECO sticks instead of those.
Watercooling Ram is a bling thing and absolutely pointless....if it was DDR2,then you have a point but DDR3? No.

Well, I want to keep the timings down a bit. It gets up to like 60c.

Well, I don't know where to start, because so many people have told me so many different things.

Well, they were stated at 1.5 volts when I bought them. So you mean they're supposed to be at 1.65?

watercooling ram is for n00000bs.

Ill make you a special badge if you do it :)
Umm... I am afraid of this badge. Why do I have a feeling it won't be nice.

And I am also partially doing it for asthetics. The ram is red, but the build is blue (will explain later). I don't want to paint my ram heat fins. Plus, you would be a liar if you said this doesn't look good.
