BF3 running on 3870

I went out and got BF3 on release night and well I was impressed with how it was running on my machine with a 3870.

But I am a eye candy man and it is killing me to run the game at low...

I know the 7000/600 series amd and nvidia are just around the corner. Should I go out and get a cheap gpu and wait or just suffer through the graphics till the new line of cards come out?

I was thinking of getting something like a 6870. I know it would suffice but can I drop down to maybe a 5000 or 4000 series and save more money and get a little better performance?

The 6870 should run it at medium with some AA no worries!

I would wait and save the money for the new series of GPU's. If you buy a standard Graphics Card now, you will have less to spend.

i would get a gtx 560 or 560ti, i say this because then u can play ur game with more eye candy NOW and until the new cards come (which always have a chance of being delayed....) so i say get something, enjoy a few months of proper BF3 and when the neww cards come out sell it and buy a new one.

Thanks everyone. I am just going to wait. I overclocked the 3870 to run bf3 perfect, yes it is at low settings but I am satisfied till the 7970 come out. Man this will be a huge upgrade =).
