Hi

I am looking for a sound card that has a coaxial output or optical to plug into a av receiver for my surround sound, i watch alot of films on my computer, so would like to be able to get them in surround sound in my cinema system.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Rob

Try one of the Auzentech (HDA) cards. I had the X-Plosion I think and it had both Optical and Co-ax out onboard plus DTS and Dolby. Blew my X-Fi out of the water for watching movies

do they do 7.1 kemp?

my new decoder does all the fancy dts, thx dolby pro logic stuff so spdif passthrough would be sexual

danke reps :D

sweet i didn't know they did an x-fi based card. i think thats on my list of to-gets considering they've use proper outputs and not the stupid 3 pin minijack connections for 7.1 so you need a stupid ass cable or a digital i/o module *slaps creative* i think i'll invest on one of those instead :D

the problem with that is a few of the games i paly use the x-fi shizzle and eax 5

i mean it can't hurt to try can it?

i'm happy with my x-fi the only thing i don't like is the ports on it.. silly creative lol

so does anyone know of one that supports true HD because some av receivers are starting to support it.

Thanks

Rob
