Best rigs through the ages?...

let me explain this, when i first started off in computing, i thought a:

Athlon XP 3200+ barton socket 462

with a DFi lanparty NF2

and a Nvidia 6800 Ultra ( or possibly GT)

with 2Gb Corsair XMS DDR400

was the best rig in the world...and at the time, for a home machine, it would have been...

i thought this thread could be what the best pc would be for every year, if you can remember back, made up with only parts available/that came out that year, and how much it would have cost at the time...i gave my example above, i know that would have cost a ton, but if you fancy it, some reaserch could be done......for the interest of people...

Mobile Barton 2500+

Abit NF7-S 2.0

Sapphire 9800 pro

1GB DDR 3200 (BH-5 chips 512MB x2)
