Best mp3 player NOT IPOD

Ye I find that if you have a good set of earphones, it should suit your bass needs. So its a good thing you are replacing the stock ones.

my ep-630's will be replacing the stock ones anyway (they are bassy on my current 256mb model already!)
Yeh, the ep's are ok-ish, you'll want to put the bass boost on and maybe change the eq a bit.

yea my mate has one and he puts it on disco mode (shame there isnt a dance mode but i can always make a custom 1 :D)

btw Phnom_Penh where u get ur sig from?

if u look to the right bottom corner of it you will see danasoft.com :p

on another note...

any of you guys got a zen vision m?

it looks pretty good,i need more space than my 4gb nano can offer and am considering one of these babies.

any input apreciated.

cheers J.

It's alright, my bros got one, the picture quality is good, but it's got nothing on the Sony Nw-a3000 in terms of sound quality. The max you can store on it is 2GB of your own stuff, but you can have 30gb music. The best out there's probably the Kenwood players tbh.

links to any of those players?

and ime not too bothered about file storage only music:)

btw where abouts in kent are you? :)

cheers.

There's a review from head-fi of the older HD20GA7 here, but as with the sony, while offering good sound quality, they're not very functional, and not at all healthy for your wallet.

they are ugly and expensive:p

the zen vision m is making me wanna sell my nano and buy one right now lol

mefinks ile haveto sell my ipod and get one soon.

maybe ile do a lil reveiw when i get one?

cheers.

iPod FTW ;)

I dunno, I can't recommend anything else because all I've ever had was an iPod, and it was exceptional.

I have an iPod and it's been great

Other than that it has to be a Sandisk Sansa - great design, size, drag n drop functionality and looks pretty sweet too :)

no doubt the ipod is great i love mine(listen to it all day at work)

but me and my mate both have one,i just need more space.

me and my freind(and someone else we know) have had a bit of trouble with ours sometimes, freezing, display that wont change and the crap quality of the earbuds(they a prone to blow and loose volume) and the battery is crap.

maybe this is just a problem with nano's but its enough to put me off slightly of buying an ipod again, plus they cost quite a lot compared to others of better/similar features and quality.

maybe an mp3 player round up would be a nice addition to the reveiw section lads?

cheers.

If you want an MP3 player with better sound quality than an Ipod get an iRiver, they make them from 40Gb down.

My H340 can play music, record and encode from outside sources or directly from its FM radio, play movies, display photo's, be used as a dictaphone, and plays Doom if Rockbox is loaded onto it.

Take a look here if you are interested or iRiver

There's nothing better than a Nano in that same size/capacity range. Now the new full size iPods are quite thin these days, I have a 60gb at work that we use for our ambience music and it's been going forever without a glitch, love that thing.

yep your right,i love my nano for its micro size but my music collection is just getting larger and larger so ime looking for a better alternative with more space

ime not fussed about size anymore as the hard drive ones arent too much bigger.

and thanks outrunner,i will give the irivers a look.

cheers.
