Best good budget card?

Hey guys, im looking to upgrade from my HD 5770, I really dont have much money so i need a cheap second hand card, I have already posted in the buy and sell section in case anyone has one, but im just wondering what you guys would say is the best second hand card for under 100 quid?

Cheers guys

A Gtx 570? Are you sure, theres a guy on the For sale and wanted forum selling one for 180

£180 for a second hand GTX570 is a joke, they're £200 brand new. You can defo find one for £100 used that's for sure and is probably your best bet for a solid card on a tight budget. You can get an AMD 6850 for £100 new or even a 6870 at a push, but i'm not sure i'd recommend one as my 6850 is showing its age for sure and needs to be upgraded, so i'd stick with finding a used GTX570

is £102 at the time of writing with 5 hours left, it wil probs go for £120-140? We'll see but that is what I mean by wait if you can because the rest of the 6xx series releases will cause a flood of these to hit the market.

Always better to buy second hand at a release date and buy new halfway through a release

Well if i can find one that cheap then i will definitely get it, where could i get one though? Ebay isnt to good with gpu's

Ebay isn't too bad as long as you're careful. Obviously there's a lot of scammers out there on ebay, but as long as you're careful you should be good, plus there's loads of pc components on ebay so you should find a 570 in no time, just like the one linked above me

5850 isnt bad but i think better can be done for the price. There are a few 480s on ebay for less than £100. That's a very good option too.

480 is a good choice, they have some awesome power but beware they do get quite hot so if you think of going with a 480 make sure the one you're interested in has good cooling.

The 480's not for me then, I have a cheap case with crap cooling, a low power psu and i hate loud gpu's :L

Save up a bit more and buy a 570 or 580. No point buying the next card up in itsy bitsy increments and wasting a barrel of cash in the process. Beware of cheap, high end cards that draw obscene wattage
