hi there, im looking to get myself a new graphics card to replace my x800xl i just sold...

ive been looking at the ati x1600xt for 125 quid with hdtv output but it looks like it gets thraped by the 6800gt in most benchies...

then i started looking at the x800gto2 which is tempting me...

basically i just want a card that isnt less powerful than my x800xl, not bothered about it being faster as i hardly ever play games but its nice to be able to play a game in hi res when i do :)

also does anyone know what price i should aim for to sell my sandy 4000 CABGE 0512XPMW, if i sell this baby i can afford to go for a 7800gt or gtx...

Theres an x850xtpe for dead on 150 on another site, not sure what the rule with competitors on here though so not sure if i can mention the site though.

I've seen 4000+ go for around 170 on another forum to if thats any decent indication

pm me the addy of the site mate, your not really allowed to post up competitors on this forum but they are happy with em being pm'd...

what do you mean by going for dead? is it a dead x850xtpe? or am i just confused (i probably am :P)

as for the sandy ill bear that in mind, not 100 percent sure if i want it to go, might get a shuttle and pop it in there.

ahhhhhh decisions decisons

WHY OH WHY DO WE HAVE STUDENT LOANS GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRr

stocky have you ever tried unlocking the extra 4 pipes on the gto? was it successful? i remember have a pcie dell oem jobbie someone on ebay told me it was an ultra and i was scammed, damn cards locked pipes were duff as well. i took it back to sc$n and got a replacement. was proper pissed off

whats my best bet out of a x850 xt 256mb / x800 gto2 256mb / x1600 xt 512mb...

ill save 30 quid by going for the x1600 but it the performance hit far outweigh the moola saved?

I think it can only be successful if it is a NV40 core, not a NV42...

I'll have to have a peek and see :)

I had an X850XTPE a while back and it was quite impresive, but I don't know how it compares to these 512MB 1600's you speak of!
