Best drivers for F@H?

Hi all!

What are the best drivers for highest PPD on the Nvidia side?

I've just changed to the latest hotfix ones - 391.05, and seem to have gotten a drop in PPD.

What version would be recommended?

I'm still running the old 368.81's on both my 1070 & 1080, not arsed with trying anything newer as the general consensus is unless you need the latest drivers to either get your newly released card folding or for the odd new game its best to stick to older drivers.

Running 390.65 on my 1080s. PPD ranges between 850k to just over 1000K with cards at 2100 boost clock. Also using Intel on board video rather than card to help maximize F@H PPD

Hmmm, card seems to have taken a hit to PPD recently. Not massive but would regularly see a PPD in the 1.1-1.2 range, not it never goes above 950,000.

Not changed anything on my system.

Does having V-Sync on affect Folding at all?

No v-sync shouldn't have any effect. It could be just some different WUs you received that award less or perform worse. That said, if it continues try turning v-sync off and see if it improves. Folding is easy now, but back in the day countless things affected it's performance.

Hmm, didn't seem to make a difference so may I'm just getting the lower scoring WU atm. Not a massive deal, just concerned may of been something I've changed in the setting by accident.

Seems 9414 is a slower (less scoring WU and that's all I'm getting at the moment so that explains it!
