Best CPU + Mobo under 300 euros (no overclocking intended)

I am looking to buy a new processor along with a mobo, after much thought and being told by my older brother that I should not overclock, I decided to follow that advice to minimize the risks.
I want a CPU which will improve my performance just as much as the i5-3570k, except since it's not intended for overclock, I guess it'll be cheaper and a motherboard to run.
I am aware of the i5-3570, but I read that if I'm not gonna buy the 3570k, the 3570 is useless and that I should get a 2500 or a 3470.
Can you please recommend me a CPU and a Mobo under 300 euros, not intended for overclock?

Get the 3570k and overclock.

There's next to no risk on Ivybridge, we'll guide you through everything, and it's just basically free performance...

Maybe with an MSI Z77a-G45?

+1 this, the 3570k is well worth the extra, even if there is a slight overclock and nothing crazy. as he said prior, we'll walk you through the overclock, no matter what it will definetly help the performance of your rig, no matter what the intentions of the rig are. and the MSI board is a great one to go with as well, my only question is what size case would you be using??

If you are still not sure , I will say the exact same
see sig hardware combo... :)

Greetings, Ray...

I bought this case recently hoping it would fix the terrible ventilation problems my previous one had, it's an Antech 300.

Might I add, I was not expecting this community to be this welcoming and this damn great, I was honestly unbelievably happy when reading through your replies, thank you!

You'll be fine with that case, but you may want to upgade later ~

As said before. Overclocking is not something to be worried about, We'll make sure it all goes right :)

+1 on this, and all the people here will be lovely to help you on the way to OC the cpu ;)

LOL, watch Tom come here and say ''Why are you asking for CPUs that don't overclock, On Overclock3D'' xDDD

+1 to this one. :P

The antec 300 is a great starter case, would consider upgrading after you get a good system in there though. But a great platform to start with nonetheless.

It's.... average...

Was my first proper case, other than a cheapo £15 one.

After a few mods like cable management holes and a window it's a nice case. There's better out there now though.

For your needs however, I'm sure it will be fine!

Well, by the time I can gather enough money to buy all of this, I'll probably be left with ~60 euros, do you think I should add a little more for a better mobo or will the MSI Z77a-G45 be good enough. (I want the computer to last, since I can't to afford to upgrade it every year)

if you have 60 euro to spare, i would buy the MSI MPower Mobo. it's literally 60 more than the G45. better for overclocking and a much better board all together.

Hmm.. I still have some doubts about overclocking though, last time a friend of mine overclocked his CPU, he got bluescreens every 30 minutes and decided to stop, he had a very good cooler and his CPU was an i5 750 (I think it no longer exists).
Should I expect to encounter bluescreen issues at all, or will the i5-3570k handle much better than the i5 750 and I have nothing to worry about? If it does handle better is it possible for you to explain why? I'm sorry for insisting on the same subject but as you can tell I don't usually own alot of money so I am very very careful with how I spend it. Again sorry for constantly doubting you, who have been extremely helpful, but I hope you can put up with me.

The thing with overclocking is that yes it may cause bluescreens but it is in no way damaging, all bluescreens mean is that the overclock is not stable, which can be easily fixed, most likely it needs more volts.

As said we will be here to help and guide you through it :)

And that is great to hear :)!

A cooler that is always recommended for a good price is the Cooler Master 212 EVO :) Should be around 30-35 Euros or so, and is capable of around 4.4ghz whilst maintaining decent temps

any corsair hydro series, but the h80i and the h100i are great starters, that is until you want to step into full on water cooling. as far as air cooling only, check noctua, they have some good stuff as well.

and like he said, bluescreen is easy to cure. up the voltage generally fixes it, if you up your clock speeds without upping voltage, it makes the OC more unstable the higher the clock speed at stock voltages. WE WILL HELP YOU OVERCLOCK. lol. >.>
