What is the best brand 7300GT out there, i have heard that there are some with DDR3 and some with DDR2, is there a significant difference between the two?

so far i am looking at the innovision/inno3d version

[edit]: it seems the only DDR3 versions of this card in australia are the palit ones, is palit any good?

Np's mate my pleasure. I've only just realised that you're from Aust rofl. Man old age is really starting to set in :(

hehe its np, i am on a pretty tight budget...but i know that the 7300GT DDR3 is one of...if not *THE* best value for money card(s) on the market today...

I cannot easily buy online, and i cannot find a local shop that has a DDR3 one...i am just not sure how big the difference is and if it is worth the extra effort of buying online...

{edit}...if you can even find one in australia a link would be great :D

ok feel free to tear this apart, but since the 7300GT DDR2 and DDR3 would use the same core, i think the main reason that the DDR2 version seems to loose by so much to the DDR3 version is that the DDR3 version comes with faster memory(lol, REALLY?!?!?!) AND a faster core at stock...however since they both use the same core you could theoretically overclock the DDR2 version to the stock speed of the DDR3 version with no fear of damage. therefore significantly reduce the gap between them.

how is my theory?

oh and i noticed that the card in this review http://www.ausfx.com/reviews/NVIDIA/Inno3D7300GT.php has the SLI connectors, while the SAME BRAND card i got today (DDR2 though)...does not have the SLI connectors...ogm wtf bbq

I could have gotten the 7300GT DDR3 for you mate, and you could have paypal'd me the cash. I'm buying some goodies online for my AquAus project tomorrow night

7300 GT DDR3

7600 GS

or if you see something you like here, I have an account with them

damn you do not say that :p :p :p

thankyou anyway though mate!!! i really appreciate it :D

The best 7300gt is the galaxy version.

It comes with a zalman cooler and DDR3 memory.

Overclockers.co.uk are the only place to stock it in the UK and they are pretty hard to get hold of anywhere else in the world as far as I know :(

I didn't realise the urgency. And that you intended to buy the card today, otherwise I would have said something yesterday. Np's anyway mate...anytime :)

oh yeah i think i got grease on the PCI-E connectors by touching them when i was installing the card so can anyone tell me what is the better way to clean them that what i did?
