Hey guys
I'm a complete newbie to GPU overclocking, I've only ever done CPU before. I used to have my i5 2500k at 4.7GHz, but then reduced it to 4GHz for some reason which is what it's been at for a while.
I have just OC'd my SLI GTX580s using Afterburner. Base clock from 772MHz to 915MHz with Vcore 1075mV, and a memory clock of 2175MHz.
I was using Catzilla for stability and I got my 720p score to 15,200 which I was very pleased with, so then I went and redid my CPU overclock to 4.5GHz at 1.300V and that was fine on p95.
So I rerun the Catzilla 720p test and expected a nice improvement as the Physics test was one of the worst before, and it significantly improved, but the other tests which were all GPU related had gone down quite a bit, and my overall score went down to 13,000. I took the CPU back to 4GHz because I thought it was strange, and then redid the Catzilla test and it is still 13,000 despite what was the same configuration before at 15,200. I definitely made sure the GPU OC was applied when I was testing as well.
Does anyone know why this could have happened, or if I can sort it back out?
