battlefield 4 beta settings and fps

right so thought i would start this to see what kind of fps people are getting. my rig specs are in my sig an i am getting an average of 42fps, at 1080p with everything on high bar AA which is on low and textures which is on ultra.

nvidia released a new driver for it today, update to that if possible. mine stays above 40 in larges battles (64 man), but if there isnt much going on in my vicinity then it go's into the 50s/60s. what graphics setting are you using mate?

Yes I download 331.4 yesterday, I believe I have it running on medium settings,
frames are high, but it still lags...

do you mean like 'lag' as in framerate lag or lag as in internet lag?

Aren't you in Malta? are you playing on local servers or are you trying to access other ones too far away?

(I remember you possibly having this issue with Arma?? (could be someone else))

i'm not sure if its framerate or internet, I joined a server with 54ms ping so I shouldn't get any lag (played one ones with about 150ms on bf3 without any issues)

I seem to be getting between 50-60 on ultra @1080p. In some areas and heavy action it dips to 40 though.

Before I updated to the latest AMD drivers, I seemed to be getting better performance. I didn't check my FPS with FRAPS before I updated though, so i'm not sure if I was actually getting better performance, but it definitely felt smoother before I updated.

I reckon once the game is fully optimized and a few driver updates later, i'll be getting ~50-60 FPS constant.

This entire beta is just a server-side performance test don't forget, so the netcode is probably a bag of wank. I doubt any feedback between now and release will get implemented as this really is just a stress test for their server-side code.

Also, have they left the limit at 64 ?

If so, how does that divide by 5?...

Ping is a big BIG factor with frostbite and if they've gone n screwed over BF4 in the same way they did BF3..

I can see me just not bothering.. *fingers crossed* ..this is just localised and/or gets improved a shed load.

Running at a smooth rate for the most part medium settings on a 560Ti (hopefully i'll upgrade soon when money permits)

Anyone else find the level a bit bland almost as if some textures aren't added yet... So much grey!

Mine if fine 90% of the time. The rest is just horrific. Just lag everywhere, though that's to be expected with a beta. Game seems pretty good though
