battlefield 4 beta settings and fps

So far so good.. haven't really paid a lot of attention to my framerate.. but.. i just chucked it on ultra for the funsies and it's circa 55ish...

not bad, vehicle stability has been massively reduced and i LOVE (read LOVE!) the fact they are not just moving ammo containers that can hose stuff down. the ammo limitations are excellent. (i say this as a chopper gunner/tanker/apc/jet enthusiast, not an infantryman who would of course go OMG OP to anything mechanised...)

Excited to play it. :) Add me on Origin (ShaunB-1991). I'm going to get slaughtered, last PC game I played was Red Orchestra 2. O.o

yeah i am liking the reload times an thing's on the vehicles, i found the movement speed of infantry to seem a lil sluggish though

I can't play from the floor anymore, my knuckles are killing...need a little table! Nice game though, and made up I can run it maxed out!

It feels different to the usual BF3 though...it kind of felt empty as well even though it was a 64 man server (I think it was a full server), I was just keeping my eye on the score, couldn't keep up with SuB!

Yes I download 331.4 yesterday, I believe I have it running on medium settings,
frames are high, but it still lags...

I don't know if I'm being tarded or something, but I cannot find this driver update.

I've tried checking for updates on GeForce Experience, and it says that I have the current one (327.32). I also checked on nVidia's website and I can't find them. I'm always keen to get new drivers because BF3 still crashes loads citing a DirectX error and quotes the graphics driver code e.g. 32723

I just started playing the beta and i am lagging.
For some reason whether i put it on low or ultra my max fps is 50-60 and my vsync is off.
Do i really have to download and install the beta driver from nvidia to play this beta and any other beta in the future?

PS. My rig is in my sig.

no that sounds about right for your setup tbh.

It's a beta don't forget.

don't forget to test settings you need to completely restart the game

I've not tried it myself, but I'm hearing that BF4 loves CPU cores (possibly threads) as FX-8350s are actually seeming to produce good numbers compared to Intel chips (well i5s at least).

You should be banned/demoted for saying that(unless you are new to how DICE work these days)

If you honestly think this is a beta, then its time to buy a Dell and move on.

downloading it now wish I had seen it earlier I could of had it done whilst eating dinner lol. I'll post results later.

ok on a side note and this has been said many many times before dont say rigs in sig post ur current specs sigs and rigs change but what you posted as results dont. So please go back and edit your posts and add the rig you posted the results with IN THE BODY OF THE POST.

heel even Tom has said this on numerous occasions.

I think siege is going to be one of the worst maps on the game tbh. The only real cool part of it is the skyscraper, the rest of the map was just empty and quiet.

The sniper was annoying, it left a white smoke trail behind after a shot, I hope the enemy don't see that!

That's good I'll make a note to take a look at how many cores it's utilizing on my 3930k

Didn't quite pick up the sarcasm did you, or read most of my post? As I said, this is just a server stress test, and they won't listen to any feedback. I'm more than well aware of how Dice operates which is why I haven't pre-ordered and won't pre-order unless the 'beta' impresses me. BF3 was such a burn to proper battlefield fans that I didn't want to happen again. And until I've played *alot* more I won't be pre-ordering.

I'd have to massively disagree, either you're not used to looking for a fight in battlefield sized environments or you're in the wrong place. I found it very constant for action and managed to pick a fight whenever I was looking for one dude. The action moves around a lot and for a map that's VERY vertical it opens up a lot of space, it's definitely designed with 32~64+ players in mind. Pop on some servers when I'm on and I'll keep you near the fight ;)

That's the whole point of the bullet trail... to find the sniper it's their 'anti camper' tactic and tbh, if they've removed scope glint then this is GREAT. because it means you can get a shot off before everyone zeros in on you.

I'd imagine there will be a 'perk' that gets rid of it. Don't forget with the Kill-cam on, as a sniper you don't stand a chance unless you reposition after every shot...

Did you not find it when were on it last night that the side where the skyscraper was action packed, but the opposite side (where the flag runs through that shopping centre) that it was quite. It seems like it'll be half action and half quiet.

I was trying to keep up with you last night, but you were in a tank and then I was swimming behind you but someone shot me. O.o

I'm only used to 32 player servers now on PS3, haven't properly played BF on PC since BF2.

Edit: If I get in that skyscraper I'm going to stay on it, last night I decided to run past you and parachute off...only to land next to an enemy tank!

Lol the action under the the street at the other side can be insane, there's lots of places to hide when entering it. :)

And yeah I saw you para off and was like.. oh ok, we're doing that are we? And para'd onto an adjacent building to much success :)

I've used the Support gunners XM25 thing to kill about 4 tanks so far, very neat trick available with that :)

Did you not see me drop down shortly after though and there was a tank there? I didn't know it was down there. :|

My main problem is playing from the floor, my fingers were in agony after five minutes. Waiting for a table to be delivered from Amazon.

What do you think so far SuB, will you be buying it? I'm going to keep my eyes on CoD: Ghosts as well. That looks promising.

Not decided yet mate, I love the improvements I've noticed so far, the interface got the MUCH required overhaul. But I'd like to see commander mode and spectator in full action as well.

I'm close, but I'm not over the tipping point yet.

And yeah I saw you disapear down, I dived past you and went for the build adjacent instead of the floor.
