After seeing the new gameplay trailer for Battlefield 3 i'm stunned how relistic the graphics are. Only problem i'm having atm, is what the system requirements would be for such a game.

Gameplay trailer ( Buffer in 1080, its worth it lol )

No doubt this will be the new standard for gaming benchmarking.

If anyone knows or can give a rough idea what the system requirments would be, that would be great

Yea i was having a look, they are the suspected requirements for it, however i don't think a 1gb graphics card is going to cut it for this game. Seeing as in the benchmarks for even the 590 and 6990 in Crysis warhead there only averaging 60-70 fps, your going to need alot more to power this game before it will become completely playable. It is kinda the scenario we had when the first Crysis game came out the technology wasn't up to the standard of the game only till recently, i feel where going to have the same problem here, unless you can afford a 4way GPU setup.

When they were demoing it they used a GTX 580, if you want to max the settings, I guess you need something near that.

The strangest thing is they said they were aspiring to get similar graphics as in the trailer into the console versions, so the PC version may look even better.

Also the engine used in the trailers is pre-Alpha, I'm sure they will be able to optimise it before release.

I seriously doubt the specs for BF2 will be enough for BF3, i mean looking at both gameplay videos of each, you can easierly its a vast improvement. I will be getting GTX580 in SLI so hopefully it will be playable

cant wait

Dude BF2 and BFBC2 are different games, the specs are similar to BFBC2 and yes two 580's will kick it big time lol.

Well i've never played any of the Battlefield series of games, so once Battlefield 3 comes out that will be my first. Should have a pretty good system by that time so i'm really looking forward to it

Mate they are a great series of games you will love it I think, I've been playing since 2142 and myself and my clan can hardly wait till BF3 as BFBC2 was a console port and not very good but BF3 is designed for PC. Who knows we might even get to play together.
