Batman Arkham Knight - stuttering on 980 Ti

Latest drivers on, disk is clean, nothing in background.

When i am riding fast in batmobile i dont know why fps just goes from 70-80s to 40-50s for a second. During this i noted that gpu usage is 44% for a second and going back again to 66%. I doubt that i must have SSD installed. Because that dips are on the same places in game. I dont know why.

is the game installed on your SSD? I do remember that there were framerate issues when using mechanical drives.

It is hard to believe how bad PC performance is in this game.

It's hard to say because most of the time when you are in the batmobile your frame rate is in the 70's to 80's most of the time.

Running the game on a SSD would help but I don't think it would be the sole cause of your issues.

I did a quick Google search and found multiple forums with threads about low frame rates when in the batmobile, I even found one on the overclockers.com forums which I suspect, is your thread.

http://www.overclockers.com/forums/...ham-Knight-frame-drops-Ram-or-HDD-issue/page4

Then I found one on the Steam Forums of multiple people complaining of the same issue.

On what I suspect is your thread on the Overclockers.com forums, you mention that your GPU usage drops which is something you have not mentioned here.

One thing I would suggest trying is going in to the nVidia control panel and finding the Batman Arkham Knight profile and setting the power management to Prefer Maximum Performance to see if that helps with the GPU usage, drops but I cannot guarantee that it will.

I don't want to sound rude but this is not something you are really going to be able to fix, but you could try some of the things mentioned in other forums like turning off Smoke and Motion Blur and what I mention above.

The game just seems like it's really buggy and doesn't play nice on the PC which is why I have avoided buying it, and to be honest seeing this thread and multiple others around the net just shows that you could have 2 pc's with identical, greater or lower specs and they would still suffer from frame drops either in the same spots or different spots.

Yes during dip my gpu usage going down from 66% to 44% and back again to 66%. This is always on 2 spots in the game when i am driving fast in batmobile. I doubt that is HDD issue.
I cant even hear HDD working during game.

Somebody said to me from official site WB:"Your problem is the HDD, and even worse the same HDD as your OS. You need to run the game off of an SSD to get smooth performance."

But that gpu usage dips are always on the same spots in game, so i doubt that is HDD usage.

How many times do you have to be told before it sinks in, dude?

IT'S THE GAME.

Yes i understand. Its weird because i doubt that SSD will help because it will stutter always on the same specific places in game. Drop to 55fps and back again to 70s. No matter what i am doing no matter hdd is not working. Always on the same spots in game fps just drops to 50 s and back again. ( when i am in batmobile )

It's absolutely nothing to do with your PC and how different it may be to the other one you are comparing it to, IT'S.THE.GAME.

Why do you think that Steam basically offered to refund or credit any poor *swear word* that bought it?

It's a terribly coded broken buggy pile of crap and they could not fix it so they refunded every one who bought it (unless like me you bought it from a code site).

You sound like some one who is desperate to prove them wrong though !

Yes it must be your PSU.

I think you need a 2000w PSU because your graphics card is not getting enough power.

Not meaning to sound rude but you've been told a few times now = it's a bad, unpredictable, poorly done port.

No two systems are identical. and to be fair a few FPS is nothing between systems, even with the same components they may be running different clocks.

Look at the graphs on here - even the same card from different manufacturers will have a variance in the same benchmark on the same system.

You found You tube of someone with 10 FPS more? Email them for their exact specs and compare them against yours.

Its only Batman giving me issues where to other users not. I compare fps in Unigine Heaven and have exactly same fps so this is ok.

There is nothing wrong with your pc, it's the game!!!!

There is nothing you can really do, try lowering the details down to the very lowest and you will probably still have dips.
