Batman Arkham Knight - stuttering on 980 Ti

Well I just went and got the game with the season pass for £13.50, money which I can not really afford to spend but to prove a point that it's the game, it's money well spent.

I ran that section, recorded it and it is now rendering etc and then I will upload it.

I have a very similar system to you, but I also run SLI which the game was not using and I still got dips to the 60's and, to give you a idea I run Crysis 2 at 4K maxed out at 90fps.

I will edit this post when the video is uploaded, it's got 15 minutes on the converting and then dependent on whether a certain modem has started working yet or not, it could be anything from 10 minutes to upload to 1 hour to upload.

Dude, this is one of the worst ports in history, I've had this running on my 4790K with a 295X2 at 60fps on release day, then after a few game updates it NEVER ran smooth again, i've got 980Ti's now and it still doesnt run any better.

Everyone has had different experiences with this game just do a search, just because it worked for someone doesn't mean it'll work for you, between driver revisions and over-clocks and game updates this game is a lost cause, if you really want to play it that bad just play it on console, or if the variances in frame don't bother you too much just play it as it is, the end of the day its a poor coded game and this is what happens.

This is the game on my 295X2 before and after the update, if you are desperate i can make some footage of me playing on the 980Ti and you'll see same frame variation

Guys please don't waste your time.

This is either a troll, or, some one with absolutely no sense whatsoever.

He's been repeatedly told over and over again that this game is garbage. He acknowledges it then just continues to carry on and on and on like the dudes asking for change in South Park.

Look, you've been told so many times in this thread that THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOUR SYSTEM.

It's the game that is crap, and it's so damn flaky that it hardly runs the same way twice on the same bloody PC, let alone a different PC with similar hardware.

Let it go. If you really feel that strongly about it, go spam Rockstars forums about it. There is nothing more to be said in here.

Here's a short clip of me driving around china town and other places.

Everything maxed out at 1080P, FPS in the top left corner.

Specs -

5930K @ Stock
980 Ti @ Stock
16GB mem
480GB SSD
Windows 10

Here we go this one is with the game maxed out at 1080p with GPU usage shown, CPU overall usage shown, and system ram usage shown.

I also have this one which is the same section ran at 4K, but for some reason Shadowplay decided to record at 1080p rather than 4K so it's uploaded in 1080p instead.

I am going to respond in the thread because I want this to be clear.

I have already done more than I should off, by spending money I really do not have in order to buy a game and show that it is not your system that has a issue IT IS THE GAME!!

i am not going to go driving around in the game recording it, the frame drops are clear to see just because they do not go as low as your does not mean there is something, wrong with your pc, it just clearly shows it is the game that has issues.

You even said it doesn't happen in other games iirc, so if that doesn't make it sink in to you that it's the game then nothing and I mean nothing is going to make it sink in.

Drivers are the very latest, motherboard bios is the latest, all other drivers are up to date, cpu is at stock speed, ram is at stock speed, gpu's are at the stock speed as they come out of the box.

There is nothing more to do, if you really think it's your pc then I suggest you go and sell your pc and buy a console, because quite frankly then you might understand that it's game because even on the consoles they suffer from frame drops but far worse than the pc's do.

Yes my VSYNC is OFF:)) My fps are similiar to Damien sometimes it drop to 60 fps. But i'm dropping to 50-55 fps. Also i dont saw drops to 50's in your clip Damien. Can you made again next clip ,but this tim only when you driving in batmobile?

Question to DiceHunter. What did you do to have 80-100 fps? Your fps are 20 fps+ better than mine.

See my post above, sorry but adding you to my ignore list because you have been told multiple times now and shown videos showing it is not your pc and that the issue is the game.

That game is BROKEN it's the luck of the draw if it works or not, hell even Warner Bros pulled it for PC and publicly admitted they couldn't fix it. Just accept it.

Your hardware is fine.

/thread

FWIW I get around 14 FPS in the Batmobile @ 4k with the highest settings it would allow (the derped ones that they changed).

This game is a tragedy and an insult to PC gamers.

I do remember you saying at the start that you had 8GB or RAM.

Did you upgrade to 16GB, as this game is known to have memory issues, especially on Windows 10.
