Basic help required

Hi All,

Am new to the forums and been a while since i last built my own system. I could use some help with fitting my Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 to my GA-EX58-UD5 mobo.

I can't work out where to connect the two fans for this cooler to my mobo. My mobo has a 4 Pin CPU_Fan, SYS_Fan2 and three 3pin fan connectors SYS_Fan3, SYS_Fan1/PWR_Fan and then there is a NB_Fan. Which ones do i connect the two Noctua fans too? Not sure what the NB_Fan is for and If i must use the CPU_Fan as it will be monitored by the Bios i would think? Do I need a 3-4 pin adaptor? Any help you can provide would be great and i appreciate these are fairly basic questions.

Ed :)

So they don't need to be connected to the mobo itself then they can be powered directly from the power supply if using a molex? Just worried as some Bios monitor the CPU fan temparture etc.

Hi and welcome to the forum. :wavey:

Post your question in the right area and you will no doubt get your answer - if it is not there already :)
