OK so I get my new system up and running only to find out I have a coil buzz coming from my PSU (original issue). So I sent it back to ebuyer where they confirmed it was broken and sent me a brand new one. Once I had install the new PSU I was shocked to discover that this one had exactly the same problem. How can this be???? I then phoned ebuyer where they confirmed that not only did my last PSU have a coil buzz but when they put it on their test equipment it stopped working all together in about 10 seconds.
After speaking to the very helpful guy at ebuyer we came to the conclusion that my system didnt actually need an 850 in the first place (although this isn't the reason for the PSU failure) and that he will send me a 650 and refund the difference.
Has anyone else had any problems with corsair PSU's? I understood that they were some of the best in the world. Although I think that this was just a really unlucky coincidence I can't help thinking that standards maybe slipping at corsair.
I cant thank ebuyer enough for their very helpful tech team and their great customer service.
