I am struggling to even get 1350 / 1775 with no voltage adjustments ? I have an MSI GTX 970. Have i had a taste of bad silicone lottery ?

my msi 970 run max at 1560/2000

I found that memory goes very high but core seems very silicone lottery, I know some cards can push 1700 while other struggle past stock OC.

also bare in mind I have my voltages as high as it gets, running kombustor I get from 106% to 108% power draw.

Hello fellow Port Talbot resident.

I would suggest having a play around with with the voltage and see what you get. I guess you have been unlucky so if you really want the best out of that card then, voltage adjustments is most likely what you need to use.

Hows Sandfields these days ;)

Also start with the core clock, leave the mem at stock and raise the core clock a bit at a time. 1775 on the mem is pretty high and don't forget that the higher you clock it the more power it will use which will also cause crashes if you are trying to OC without increasing the volts.

First find your max core clock OC without volts and when you have done that start bumping the mem up a bit at a time untll you find the max mem clock + core clock without volts.

Then when you have both your no volts OC start upping the volts and do the same again, start with the core clock and find your maximum with volts and then start upping the mem to find your max mem clock with volts.

I get a pretty good clocks with my 970 with no volts 1506/1550 which is stable in all games I have used it on :)
