Nautilus snail case LoL
you cant count the murderbox... its just a modded tj07
No, it's not. The MKII is new from the ground up. The only thing it shares with the TJ07 are the physical dimensions. The MKII is brand new, with all new exterior and interior, designed by Charles H, Janik, and a few others.
it looks exactly the same... all they did was invert the motherboard tray and cover up the front of the case
lolwut?!![]()
#1. The body is made of one solid piece of aluminum. Meaning, they didn't just "cover up the front of the case."
#2. If you've even looked at any of the details of the chassis, you'd know that it doesn't look anything like the original TJ07, and bares a slight resemblence to the original Murderbox.
So, your saying that the completely new PCB for SATA/FANS and the HDD Carriage looks similar to the original TJ07's 5.25 bays? That the new Radiator mounting system developed by the Murderbox crew is similar to radiator mounting in the original? That the ODD ejecting through the bloddlines is similar to the original TJ07? That the fan mounting, and the ability to reverse the motherboard tray and PSU at will are similar to the Original TJ07?![]()
murderbox.com
If you honestly look through that gallery and come back and say it looks anything like the original TJ07, you're either blind or trolling.
it is based on the tj07... if the tj07 didnt exist that case wouldnt exist, its a copy.
btw whats so special about the PSU in that rig? and you can reverse the motherboard tray in a standard tj07 it costs £20 and all you have to do is drill out some rivets, the radiator mounting system is just a radiator stand screwed into the floor
Sorry but yeah, the Murderbox IS in fact a modded TJ07.
Everything in the MKII has been designed for ease of use, customization, and changability. There's no need to drill out rivets, reverse panels, etc. The entire chassis has been designed to meet several different variations depending on the user's wants and needs depending on their build and preferences.
The Radiator mount system is far different than any other radiator mounting on the market. I dare you to find another like it. You won't.
The reason why the TJ07 dimensions were used is a carry over from the original Murderbox, and because it's possibly the best Watercooling chassis of all time. Why not use the same form factor going forward? That, and Silverstone will be MFG'ing this chassis and has had to retool their machinery in order to do so.
I think you can't see all the intricacies involved with the chassis. I've owned over 20 cases in the last 5 years alone, and this one seems to be the most well thought out, engineered case and has left no corners cut and is the ultimate dream chassis.
If you want to argue further, that's fine, you're entitled to your opinion, even if you're wrong.
The original, yes, not the MKII.
The new Fractal case the Node 605. Looks so nice.![]()

Another case I love the look of is the Corsair Obsidian 550D, I'm a big fan of all the Obsidian series but this one of my favourites.

bullshit, its a tj07.
So is it fair to say that the murderbox is a tj07oem design? Like so many of the "cm 690"clone out there?
Lol, ok. I talk to the designer, do you? I talk to others that are involved in the project, do you? Didn't think so. Move along because you're showing your ignorance on the subject and have created an argument out of nothing, thus derailing the thread (good job, btw, obvious sign of a troll).
Nope. Not at all. If it were a clone, it would be like the ABS Blackpearl which was a slightly modified Lian Li V2000. Or the ABS Canyon which was a slightly modified Lian Li X900. This was designed from the ground up, with thousands of man hours spent in designing and engineering it. It's not just a simple mod, or even a more complex mod like the Murderbox was of Original TJ07.
The MKII is a different beast altogether, but there's a few out there that would rather call it what it isn't than accept the truth. Maybe it's fanboyism? Considering Silverstone will be manufacturing limited runs of it and have to spend the money for retooling their production system for this chassis, it's hardly a clone.
It would be like saying the 2013 Mustang is a clone of a 1970 mustang, and, that's not the case either.
If i made an exact replica of the tj07 and changed 5 or 6 things it is still a tj07
5 or 6 things doesn't even come close to the amount of changes. Don't be asinine. And it's not even close to an exact replica. What do you NOT get about "the only thing that's similar are the dimensions."?! Jesus, it's like talking to Hellen Keller here.
