AverageNinja's Setup

Figured I should update this thread, as quite a few things have changed, including (but not limited to) the removal of those dreaded flowers. They started to stink. Also, the orange Yoshi is now making sure I stay focused at all times.

Like before, I'm sorry for the bad image quality. I take these photo's with my Moto G (2014).

First of all, I got a new keyboard (Corsair Strafe w/ Cherry MX Brown switches) and a new mousepad (Steelseries QcK):

This shot somehow messed up even worse than normally, sorry for that lol

Anyway, I don't think I have anything else to show you. I'd show you all the rest of my room, but very little has changed aside from some replaced posters. That, and it's very messy and I can't be arsed to clean it up atm. :p

More things are bound to change in the not too distant future, too. The blue mouse (which cost me exactly €4,99 at my local 'Action' store) is next on my list. I hope they still have the same model mouse, only in red, as it has been serving my quite well, especially considering its price.

That's all, folks! See y'all around!

Minor update, as I've finally cleaned my room properly. Did some rearranging, and found some old stuff I placed on my shelves.

I've been getting into Naruto a lil' bit, and got this on the cheap. Sorry, not sorry :p

This part is still quite messy. Made sure my games were nice and tidy, though.

They're still in alphabetical order!

Found a relic of the past, too!

That's pretty much all, not a lot has changed really.

Figured I should upgrade this thread again since I've pretty much completely rearranged my desk.

First of all, as many of you will know by now, I finally built a proper rig. At first, I'd placed my PC on the left side of my desk, but that felt a bit cramped. Thus I moved everything to the right side of my desk, which has definitely improved both the comfort and the aesthetics of my setup:

For those of you who are wondering about the way I've organized my desktop shortcuts, I use a program called Fences. It is a paid application, but it's been included with multiple Humble Bundles now, so be sure to keep an eye out for that if you're interested.

Also, please don't mind my wallpapers. They're both pictures I took myself. I'm anything but a good photographer, but I do think these two pictures turned out pretty alright. Also, please don't mind the cable-clutter. Cable management is a nightmare with this desk.

Sadly, Orange Yoshi is MIA, hence why he's not in the setup anymore. I'm sure he's burried under a bunch of boxed somewhere, so he'll turn up sooner or later.

Anyway. The left side of my desk is now a second spot where I can get work done. It's where I keep my old laptop (which I still use for school stuff - gonna upgrade it with a small SSD to make it more usable). Those of you with good eyes would've also noticed that I bought some fake Ikea plants for my setup. The one next to my PC is called Caligula and the one below is called Caesar.

I also added a whiteboard. When I permanently mount it there, it will be used to make weekly schedules, but for now, it's only used for really important reminders:

Right now I keep my headphones next to my PC, although one of the planned upgrades is a headphone stand or hanger.

Last but not least, I figured I might as well add an obligatory night photo.

That's it for now. I'd show you the rest of my room, but truth be told it's a mess so I'd rather not. I'll try and convince a friend to borrow me his DSLR for some proper pictures, but for now, this will have to do.

Cheers,

AverageNinja

Nice job, almost zen like. Very much the polar opposite to how my setup is layed out.

Thanks a lot mate :) I did clean the desk before taking the pictures admittedly. Usually it's a huge mess with stacks of paperwork everywhere.

I am quite happy with how this setup has turned out. Especially if you compare it to how it was two years ago. It's a lot more organized with less random stuff everywhere.

I think this is pretty much the final 'revision' of this setup. That is, until I move out next year (or after my first internship). Still have a few small upgrades planned (need a better mouse and a webcam), but it's pretty much done.
