ATI Radeon 5770 - with dip switches ?

Reading one of the links at the foot of the forum for "partner content", I stumbled upon a nice review of an ATI Radeon 5770 by Bruce Normann of BenchmarkReviews.com.

Therein is a picture he's taken of the 5770 sample he had for testing:

.. also stresses that this apparently isn't on the production model, but the solder lines maybe there.

Hmmm... so what kind of possible bonuses do we have here ?

Looks like nothing really interesting.

I'd say they define some configuration of the display output ports or the CF connectors.
