Hey I have an ATI 9800 pro All in wonder. I have been playing CSS and I noticed a crazy graphical problem that has just started to occur while I play.

Here are a few screens of the problem:

Any ideas to what the problem could be? I have the newest ATI drivers.

Have you checked to make sure the card isn't overheating? Is the card overclocked at all?

Try reinstalling all of the drivers, killing any overclock, and reaseating the card. Also make sure that your cards fan is spinning still.

weird,i have the same problem sometimes with my 7800gt:eek:

the graphics on some parts of the map go all sorts of colours like that in little tiny squares like a mosiac...

hope you get sorted and i will be watching this thread;)

cheers.

after doing others suggestions maybe try down clocking your memory and core speeds. And does it do it on other games?

had it with a too overclocked 7800gt, only happened in oblivion and when core was lowered from 471 to 456 it disappeared.

Then it must be cooling m8. Check to make sure your fan isn't clogged with dust, etc.

I highly reccomend this http://www.svc.com/vga-rev3.html heatsink for your 9700/9800 series card. I've had one on both a 9800 Pro and now have one on a 9700 Pro, nothing is better or quieter, or cheaper rofl.

Good luck,

Nick

Looks like memory srtifacting. Sometimes cards clocked at stock do get these and usually it's time to call it a day

Have you checked the Heatsink/fan to look for dust that may be overheating the card?

hmmm.. i havent really opened up my pc in a while so im sure there is dust on the heatsink, But it could be that i just installed the drivers wrong?

why not open up the case and check the heatsink ?

doesnt take long time to do that, much quicker than messing around with drivers.
