UPDATE: Got it working. Had to remove both memory sticks and re-insert them... Ehm what? Will do extensively testing
So I've been building my ITX PC with the following components and everything was working fine until I changed my memory settings to XMP. Then the PC reboots and dead! I try resetting the bios by shorting the jumper on the motherboard while the PSU was off, still dead. Then I took out the batteri which was a bit of a bother since I had to remove the cooler. Still dead!
I mean how the heck can a XMP setting brick a PC? Something seems dead, I can't get it to turn on again. Every time I push the power button on the case, the PSU just says "click" and nothing happens. Sometimes a flash of light happens in the case LED, but not always.
I'm not even sure where to begin and end with this, I've never seen this happen. Any ideas?
Components of relevance:
ASUS Z270i Strix Gaming motherboard
i7 7700K @ stock
2 x 8GB Corsair DDR4-3000 MHz RAM CL15
Noctua NH-D15S CPU cooler
Samsung SM961 SSD
Samsung 850 Pro SSD
GTX 1080 Founder's Edition with Eiswolf mounted.
EVGA SuperNova P2 750 watt PSU
