Asus X99-A II Slow Post Time

Is it normal for the Asus X99-A II to take forever to post it take especially long after the power supply has been turned off, boot drive is a Samsung 950 pro. I'm coming from a Z77 board that posted and booted in seconds.



Corsair 750D, i7-6850k, Asus X99-A II, Corsair H115i, 2x Evga GTX 1080 SC, 32GB Corsair Dominator Patinum 3000Mhz, Samsung 950 pro, 2x 5TB HDD and Windows 10 Pro

First of all there should be a setting in the UEFI that sets the post delay see if that's set to a high value turn it to 0 or 1 second

Post delay is set to 0, takes 30 seconds to 1 minute to post
Every thing runs perfect once its booted just annoying.

Its the same with my rampage V edition 10. sucks but there is nothing I've found to fix it. my Maximus vii and 4790k smoke my new rig in boot time. very annoying lol.

Is it because you have all of the raid controllers enabled?

It's mostly hdd controllers that take the time :S
