Hey guys,

Just a quick question for you guys... this monitor has 144Hz and 2ms response time, it's little brother, the VG248QE is also 144Hz, but it's 1ms.

My question for you is this, does it have any major impact if it's 2ms rather than 1ms?... especially when talking in 144Hz terms?.

Thanks,
Chrazey

You will never notice 1Ms of latency, You would have to have an ultra slow motion camera to be able to tell the difference, Now between 1Ms and 5Ms yeah maybe you would feel it a little in game and I do mean a little, But between 1 and 2 ? Simply put, No.

The difference in response time isn't really a consideration but 27" is quite big for 1080p, I wouldn't go bigger than 24" just for pixel density reasons if it's going on a desk.

Could you further explain this regarding the "wouldn't go bigger than 24"..."?...

I'm just a little tired of 24" and would like an 27", that's why... and those are the 2 options I'm having in consideration, when considering 24" and 27".

Cool, thanks for this Dice! :)

Purely because pixels start getting a bit noticeable when the pixel density is too low. Text doesn't look so crisp, edges look poor etc. 24" 1080p, 27" 1440p and 32" 4k are the perfect proportions in my opinion. It's not a big issue for TV's with longer viewing distances but right infront of you on a going too big for the res isn't a great plan. For me at that price stepping up to 1440p would make a nicer upgrade but I appreciate response time is more important to some gamers. I'm not good enough to notice :D

So for gaming it's a good buy and I also don't sit that close to the monitor.
I know you've got the ASUS ROG Swift, but that one is quite expensive.

This monitor also has a blue power button and the monitor itself is black, so goes well with my black/blue theme.

Do you know any 27" 144Hz 1440p monitors then?...
