Asus Strix 980 Ti - random quiet rattling noise.

Hi. My card is Asus Strix 980 Ti but i am left with one problem.

There is a rattle that occurs from time to time when the fans are changing rpm,like starting games. After few minutes when i am in game, it's not a problem because it's usually locked at relatively high RPM.
The noise also comes at COMPLETELY random times. Sometimes fans will spin to high speed properly without noise, sometimes they will rattle for a few seconds.
I dont know if i must RMA card for this?
I check fan blades, and no cables hitting fan blades.
 
I would download MSI afterburner or something that has manual fan control and set various speeds to try and get it to 'rattle' again but I had an issue like that before with my 580 and got it RMA'd.
 
Same card, same problem, not sure what to do, only does it a certain RPM that I never use, I don't have a progressive curve. Either off, or 45% for 55c or below, then 55% up to 65c then 65% after that which has never happened yet.

It happens at around 72-78% fan speed for me. Tested every speed when I got the card.
 
Damn so rma my strix 980 ti , because sometimes ( randomly ) it rattles for few seconds when fans of the card started accelerating? It will be hard to reproduce when i rma card. I dont think they even will hear that, because it is very small noise.

theDTP so you have the same problem like me? When you starting gaming and fans are starting then they will rattle sometimes ( about 45% fan speed ) for about few seconds and noise is gone?

I would RMA if possible wouldn't be great if the fan died over time
 
Asus Strix 980 Ti - small rattle noise when card cooling down.

Hello. Its my second topic. But i will be very greatful for help.
Is this something to worry about?

When i am exiting a game and my card cooling down i can hear randomly slightly small rattle noise for 2-3 seconds.
I dont know if to do something now. Thx for help. Card is Asus Strix 980 Ti.

And yes i am sure there is nothing interfering with fans.

Is it a high pitched noise? If so that's just coil whine and is occurring because you are changing from a high load to no load. That's normal:)

Hello all again. Its my 3 topic here, sorr for spam. I apologize but i want to be sure about noise of graphic card.

My card is Asus Strix 980 Ti. Also i have a question about noise. My card on 45% fan speed sounds like this ( this is example with evga 780 Ti but my card giving the same noise on high speed :

Is this normal?
 
It's a loose fin stack on the cooler which makes the rattling sound. I haven't read that it's a common issue with Strix 980Ti's and I used one recently which was fine. RMA it with your retailer if you just got it.

Because i have the same noise on my card when card is heating up. Can you hear again and tell me ?ok?

You could stop posting over and over again on any and every forum about the same subject.

People have answered your question many many times.
