Hi All

Anyone got one of these boards? Uses a 590Sli chipset....

What are your thoughts as I have sold my FX55 and old DDR ram and am either going OPty 185 and Mushin XP4000 or

E6600 and Patriot 6400 DDR2 on the above board...

HEYELP!!!!

The E6600 are amazing chips which offer great power per Pound (Sterling, that is ;)) I'm running one with the P5B which is all good. I'd just watch the BIOS can be a bit buggy, but this will iron out with time. It's only downside is poor SLI support, as the second PCI-E slot is only 4x or something!

Intel seem to be leading the way at the mo, and I haven't heard any news of this order changing for at least a while...

I don't know anything of the Sli-Premium C2D, it may be worth having a pop over to XS and searching as some nutter has probably already got one under some extreme cooling!

Pretty sure there's FSB "issues" with these boards, ie they're capped to ~ the 350 mark.

If you want an SLI board, best bet is to wait for the new boards coming out shortly.

Will get a 680i board (hope they are released along with the G80)

What about RAM DDR2

PC6400 Patriot as reviewed in CPC

or

Team Group PC6400 (4-4-4-10)

Cheers

D
