Should i go with a sabertooth z77 or p67? I will have a 6850 and 3770k. Going P67 means i could afford a better graphics card like 7770. Im going to mainly be doing cad work and photoshop.

Z77 gives you PCI-E 3.x and a better memory controller which helps with PhotoSoup, I guess. And from what I've read, the 7770 and 6850 are actually not very different performance-wise

Z and Ivy rhyme...my vote had nothing to do with getting the most from the hardware pairing....jk.

So z77 then

EDIT: Thats weird, amazon removed the 6850 and now have 7770 double d for the same price. Decent.

Z77, all the way, mate. It's not only the pcie and the mem dividers, it the support too. Lots of manufacturers don't bother with BIOS updates on those p67 any more...

They just would scare me cause of all the issues they had when they first launched. I know theyve got them all cleared up now and it would be extremely rare to run into them again but, still. The Z77's have been pretty much trouble free from what I can tell so Id have a little more peace of mind with them.

Best of all though, with the P67, you cant use the onboard GPU. Thats always a nice backup in case your GPU takes a crap on you. The IGPU can get you thru at least until you get a new video card in.

You aren't going to go wrong with the p67, but the z77 is the newest chip set with the best benefits. If you aren't out to save money by going with a p67 on sale, then the z77 chipset is the way to go.
