Asus Sabertooth Mark "Sabranco" Z97

Resident Newb
So after the general unveiling of the Z97 line up Asus teased a white version of their popular Sabertooth board, Nicknamed "Sabranco" and now officially called "Mark S".

It features an all white PCB much like Galaxys HOF GPU's and a snow camo paint job on the cover -

As usual with Sabertooth boards the back portion will be covered in a nice chunky metal protective plate so it not only stops you from scratching yourself on the various bits but also serves as both a passive heatsink to an extent and a brace.

The board is basically just a paint job with an all white PCB, Camo print "Thermal Armor" and coloured heat sinks, No hardware on this board differs from the existing Sabertooth Mark I Z97 motherboard -

One of the rarer tid bits of information about this board is the fact that it will not be in production for a long period but rather a limited edition SKU as seen here with an issue number by the I/O port cover -

The exact date this will be available hasn't officially been announced yet but I'm guessing it will be soon judging by the wealth of information available, Pricing is still not available either but if the current Sabertooth board is anything to go by expect a small premium on top for the special edition nature of the "Sabranco"

I'm badly in need of getting one. Even if the suggested retail price is almost $300 for a z97 board... me wants!

edit*

ASUS confirmed that if there is a huge interest then the will do a second limited run of these. Will find source when I can.

Omg, talk about bad timing after i just bought the original! Im going to have to sell my current one, as i need this themed board!

I prefer MSI's take on white motherboards to this ( I think its too 'busy') but hey each to their own.

From what I understand though, the KRAIT mobo has alot of features stripped out. It looks as basic as its features are. But I do love this one also. However the Mark S wins for me, i have always had a soft spot for the TUF series boards up to, but excluding the Mark 2 Z97 which for some reason has lost its armor.

Eh. I'd rather go for a better looking motherboard then something which looks (to me) ugly and costs alot more with features that I don't need. I just need a motherboard that'll chug along happily for a few years, be super stable and be upgradable.
If I want maad clocks, I'd not worry about looks so much

I have to say i'm still not sold on white PCBs. I'm all for black and white builds but I think the white should be case and accents not huge blocks of colour

At least a white theme board with white pcb. Thats what i wainting for. Unfortunatly I've already bought my new rigs board but its X99 :)
I hope there will be more mobos with white pcb on the market soon.

I was thinking the Parvum S2 after watching it last night, with the smoked acrylic, in my head it looks sexy. Maybe Tom could show us what he thinks would look best? ;)

I mentioned the Evolv above, daft sod, this is a full ATX board aint it.

I would love the white PCB without the thermal armour. Paired with white PCB graphics card and memory... Best looking build ever.

Preordered it on overclockers.

Get your orders in, not too expensive, £232.49

Ps: i dont pay the VAT so an even better bargain for me
