Hi all,
I recently got this board and upon testing it kept getting error code 53 and got no signal to my monitor. According to the manual error 53 is a memory issue. With this in mind I tried seating each of my four ram dimms individually in each of the boards eight dimm slots and still got the same error. I checked my CPU and socket to make sure there's no damage, which there isn't. I tried booting without the GPU seeing as I wasn't getting a signal to my monitor with no luck. I also tried to update the bios with ASUS Bios Flashback but am unsure if it worked due to not being able to see on the monitor.
I then tried with different SSDs/960 Pro combinations and without them completely and was still getting error 53. After many hours of testing I put my parts back into my old motherboard (an MSI X99A Carbon Pro) and the machine posted instantly. With this in mind I RMA'd board. The chaps at OcUK tested the board and did so with three different memory kits and they all worked fine and the board posted fine.
OcUK are now going to send the board back to me, because as far as they're concerned it's not faulty. This is fair, and when it arrives I will run through all my checks and hope the board works and that I just missed something obvious!
IF the board gives me the same error are there any tips or things you guys can recommend I try to get it to work?
