ASUS Rampage III extreme OEM

Hi guys!

Today I saw an OEM Asus Rampage III extreme at my local store very cheap, so I asked the retailer about what makes the board OEM and he said it is complete, even with packaging and everything. BUT the he said the only missing was the I/O shield, so I was wondering whether to go for it or not? I mean at that price the board would be a bargain, so is the missing i/o shield important enough to miss out on that deal?

Yea I looked around ebay, and even the official Asus replacement shop in Germany, but they don't have the Rampage III but they have every single other one. But if you say it won't really matter I'm surely going for it then.

EDIT: So it won't affect the motherboard or anything else negatively in any way if I don't have the I/O Shield (apart from looks)

Make sure you still get waranty with it. As thats NOT what oem means at all. OEM generally means white box and nothing else.

Just sounds like a return or one he has used to me tbh.

Yea I get the normal 3 year warranty and yes OEM was probably the wrong wording ^^. So you would consider it a bargain and go for it?

TTL, Since we are talking about R3E here I want to ask something.

I am looking into upgrading, should I get a sabertooth with gtx 570 or 580, or should I go R3E with 2 460 hawks in sli???
