I just bought this board, according to asus is a very good board,

now I'm in the Process of buying a Cooler Master Stacker 832, after reviewing excellent reviews.

Would like to know what is the difference between this board and the Deluxe, I know has something to do with Chipset Type?

Also would like to know what is a good PSU for this system that I'm trying to put together.

and I was reading about the New Nvidia Geforce 9600GT

what is better to run on a sli mode 2X 8800GTS

or 2X 9600GT

I want each to have 512mb

but I'm not sure what the stream is the 9600GT only has 64 stream

and the 8800GT has 128 stream

the MEM speed is 2000MHZ on the 9600GT as well 700MHZ GPU

the MEM speed is 1972MHZ on the 8800GTS as well 678MHZ GPU

so not to much difference in speeds

and finally for the Processor I have choosen Intel Core 2 duo Extreme QX9650

Is this a good Processor for this motherboard?

Main thing is what PSU should I purchase for this system

Thanks

680i (the chipset that the P5N32-E uses) doesn't support the 45nm yorkfeild chips. When you say 'Delux' You looking at P5K dlx? The P5K is a P35 chipset.

Graphics card wise its a iffy time, as there are a few new things just around the corner. If you want the best now buy an 8800GTX/ultra. My advice would be pick up a 9600 and fork out for which ever single card replaces the GTX/Ultra. SLI is simply not worth it.

For the PSU get yourself a PCP&C Silencer 750w. You'll be sorted for a good while with that.

If you mean the P5N32-E SLI Plus.. then it is an awesome board.

Not sure why it is said to be worst than the Deluxe.. but whatever they say I think it is brilliant.

Grab yourself two 8800GTS's mate.. 9600s.. meh not that good. :)

your saying that the P5N32-E Plus does not support 45nm yorkfield?

I just read in the Asus website that does support the Intel core 2 Extreme QX9650 and that is a 45nm yorkfield core

also why do you say sli is not recomended?

Because everywhere on Nvidia website says that sli mode runs better 2 are better than 1 thats what they are saying?

Primarily I want for hardcore gaming, like runing crysis on all High specs.

so what graphics cards would you recomend?

thanks

When the Qx9650 was launched a few people tested it with the 680i chipset. The results were it worked, but quite the clock speeds were erratic and would not overclock at all.

You could buy them and cross your fingers if you wanted to take the risk. But id recommend a P35/X38 board. Its your call in the end. If your hell bent on SLI then consider this

SLI isn't really worth it for 24/7 setups. The price : performance gain (while improving) is not justifiable.

Nvidia and Asus' website are not reliable sources for recommendations mate, they are trying to sell they're product.

Hey Ham,I already bought the Asus P5N32-E Plus sli

What processor would you recomend then for this motherboard

what graphics card would you recomend for this motherboard

what ram would you recomend for this motherboard

the Case that I want to purchase is the Stacker 832

not sure what PSU to buy

and also what is better watercooling or Fan cooling

what would you recomend?

Open for options

as I want to build a really nice CPU

I don't care about Overclocking as long as it runs the Best games like Crysis on all High Specs

and new games to come.

Thanks

Dave
