has anyone out there had or is,experienced at building a PC MEDIA CENTRE using ASUS motherboards, Im just after some advice, what do you consider is the best ASUS board for this purpose... not for gaming but in essence to replace my DVD recorder.

If you're looking for a good ASUS motherboard for a media centre PC, might I suggest the P5E-VM HDMI?

It uses Intel's G35 onboard graphics and is Micro-ATX...

thanks for your help, I have looked at this board but I have HDMI output via the graphics card and I will be able to fit a full size ATX board within the case but your suggestion is good value right now.

I built my media centre pc using a P5WD2 Premium.

did you mean "windows media centre"?

if so, i wouldn't recommend windows media centre over standard xp.

as far as hardware goes, i've no complaints with my asus.

asus are pretty cool when it comes to support too.
