Ok I am looking to build a new system, A small Mini ATX system with dual 6970's in it, Seems simple, I like Asus, Have for a long time now. the New ROG Maximus IV GENE-Z is coming out I haven't had a ROG product yet so Seemed a good choice then Asus has the 6970 but has the cooler on it that takes up 3x PCI slots, I don't mind that, But god I want a board to fit 2x on it,
How is this.
Meant to fit on this.
All they would have to do is swap that mini pci 16x slot for a full length one, I would still make it fit in a case.
Or if you had a Full ATX board, there is no boards out there now that will support 3 of them in xfire, only Asus board I can find is a Maximus III Extreme
And since they aren't sold any more, So why the heck is Asus not building products to suit their products, I have the option to go for a different brand of video card, Not Gigabyte as their card also take ups 2 slots, or I could chose a different board, witch gigabyte and MSI both have mini atx boards to support 2x 3 PCI slot cards or full ATX that will support 3x 3 PCI slot cards.
Its a bit of a rant but still, I wish Asus would make products the suit their products.
